Waterloo House was full of festive spirit over Christmas and New Year, with laughter, music and celebration throughout the home.
The season began with a pantomime performance of A Christmas Carol, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Throughout December, residents took part in a range of festive activities, from Christmas crafts to trips out into the local community. These outings gave residents the opportunity to enjoy the Christmas decorations, lights and festive atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the season was the Christmas Fair, which featured stalls selling homemade Christmas crafts, gifts and a popular tombola. Thanks to the generosity and support of families and visitors, the fair was a great success, raising an impressive £680. We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the families who supported the event and helped make it such a success.
Christmas party day was another special occasion, enjoyed by both residents and staff alike. Everyone dressed up for the celebrations, which included delicious food, music and plenty of dancing, creating a joyful atmosphere across the home.
The festive period concluded with a very special way of welcoming the New Year, as a bagpiper visited Waterloo House to perform for residents. The music was greatly appreciated and the piper also took time to visit some residents in their rooms, ensuring everyone could be part of the celebration.
It was a truly magical festive season at Waterloo House!
